Florida News That Impacts You – June 8th, 2023 Bottom Line: Your daily recap of the biggest news from around the state that impacts you in South Florida. The Palm Beach County School Board approved the expulsion of nine students responsible for bringing weapons to schools during the just concluded school year. That brought the total number of students expelled for weapons to 42 during the 2022-2023 school year – the highest on record and more than twice as many as the previous year. The developments come as the school district is set to move forward with the implementation of metal detectors in schools.
